Combining design, nature and comfort: new Herringbone T/G by BOEN

BOEN expands its 2-layer collection with the new Herringbone T/G parquet combining classic design and sustainable quality.

Press release, May 2025 – They have a saying in Norway, ‘Borte bra, men hjemme best’, meaning that being outside is good, but being at home is best. Inspired by the genuine character and high-quality workmanship of Nordic design, BOEN is bringing a new and exclusive product onto the market: the Herringbone T/G 10.5 x 137 parquet expands BOEN’s 2-layer range with a format that offers modern living spaces a perfect balance of design, function and natural beauty.

Take off your shoes and enjoy walking barefoot on warm, natural wood at the end of a stressful day. The new Herringbone parquet by the Norwegian wooden floor brand BOEN specifically succeeds at conveying this welcoming sense of relaxation. The brushed surface highlights the lively grading of the wood, bringing an authentic piece of nature into your home, a safe haven to weather the storms of everyday life.

Great freedom in design

Thanks to the balanced length of its planks, at 790 mm, a width of 137 mm, and only 10.5 mm in thickness, the new format lends itself excellently to being used in the classic herringbone pattern – although it can create innovative patterns, such as diagonal herringbone. Equipped with precision-made tongue-and-groove joints, this parquet is perfect for glued-down installation. Its low thickness makes the floor particularly suitable for renovations, and an ideal choice for use with underfloor heating. Available in four natural colours – Transparent, White, Pale White, and Soft Brown – and in a variety of gradings, the new format enables customised design options that harmoniously complement a wide range of different living concepts. Three distinct surface treatments deliver effective protection and emphasise the wood's natural beauty.

Sustainability as a firm foundation

Like all BOEN products, the new Herringbone format is made of wood sourced from sustainably managed European forests. The top layer is made from high-quality oak, with a robust fir base layer, building a foundation for longevity and comfort. All floors by BOEN are low in emissions and help create a healthy room climate, with a piece of Norwegian nature for modern living that perfectly combines sustainability with design.
