Engineered hardwood flooring has several potential uses.

Here is a good example of an amphitheater at the primary school in Vinne and Ness, one hour driving from Trondheim on the west coast of Norway.

LINK Arkitektur has chosen Oak Andante, a calm wood color, treated with Live Pure lacquer: for such a heavily used area it’s needed a wood floor that can withstand lively students.

In addition to this, stair nosing with a built-in tread inlay have been installed to help visualize each step and provide additional safety. The built-in tread inlay works also as anti-slip reducing the possibility of injuries.

Live Pure lacquer is an innovative product development from BOEN: Oak planks with Live Pure surface treatment have a very natural look with ultra matt finish and very good protective characteristics. Live Pure protects the floor from dust, dirt and liquids thanks to a special treatment applied to the surface which leaves the look of the hardwood floor smooth, clear and naturally light almost like untreated wood.

Choosing hardwood flooring from BOEN is also a sustainable choice. Oak logs are coming from controlled sources and each plank is made of more than 70% fast-growing spruce.

This great project is developed and executes in collaboration with LINK Arkitektur, Byggmesteran Bygger'n and Myran Snekkeri AS.
