Floor underlay
The right underlay makes all the difference: it ensures that your parquet floor feels quiet, stable, and comfortable to walk on.
With a suitable insulation underlay, you protect your floor while adding extra comfort to your home.
The subfloor must be dry, level, and self-supporting. Concrete/screed subfloors must be even and free from dirt or residues. Flatness tolerances must be observed.
Moisture barrier: No moisture should penetrate the floor from the subfloor. On concrete, an additional 0.2 mm plastic foil must be installed as a moisture barrier.
Impact sound: Reduction of noise transmitted to adjacent rooms when walking.
Footfall sound: Noise emission within the room itself when walking.
Dynamic load: An underlay with higher density or greater dynamic load capacity reduces movement and unwanted noise – both within the room and in neighbouring spaces.
