This episode of Eventyrlig Oppussing, a renowned Norwegian TV show about renovation, design and cabin culture takes place in Reinslia, a historic cabin that was originally built as part of the cable car station. With its breathtaking views, Reinslia is located at around 1040 metres above sea level and marks the highest point of the cable car that used to transport pyrite from the Folldal mines to the station in Alvdal. Reinslia offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, and over the years has become a favourite spot for nature and history lovers.

The hut was built in 1910 as accommodation for the workers of the Reinslia mine and has a long history closely linked to the region's industrial past. In 2021, a family of four acquired the cabin. The family would like to use the historic cabin as a retreat for themselves as well as a place for socialising with family and friends. In order to increase comfort and improve functionality, they decided to carry out extensive renovation work.

A key element of the renovation was the selection and installation of the new flooring: Oak Brazilian Brown. The chosen oak flooring brings both style and warmth to the rooms of the cottage with its warm brown colour and elegant texture. Oak Brazilian Brown was installed throughout the living room and in the newly remodelled kitchen. A new porch door was installed and old doors were replaced with windows to let in more light and make the most of the views. Throughout the space, Oak Brazilian Brown provides an elegant foundation that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. These measures not only improve the overall appearance of the cabin, but also its comfort and usability for the whole family.
