Walnut Trend

BOEN Walnuss Andante
It's Trending: Walnut is here again!
Walnut is back big time, coming back into fashion and starting to get as popular
as it was in its heyday in the 1970’s.

It was exciting to present so many solid walnut pieces of furnitures and interior elements at IMM Cologne16 show.
I believe it's one of the nicest solid wood colours out there.
According to the Luxe Deluxe Trend we are featuring in our Trend Guide 2016, noble
materials such as marble, gemstones, velvet, and fine leather are pretty much on vogue
and walnut is just the perfect warm back drop for floorings. Let me show you a few
examples on both, furniture surfaces and flooring.

Black & whites plus brass is a current winning combo and can all be softened with
a walnut front design in a bath room.

Another fab colour pair is walnut and grey in any shade. It provides a more masculine look
yet warm and might even perceived slightly understated if the overall atmosphere is rather
minimal. You can always bring some whites and a pastel shade in if you wish to go for a
brighter and more feminine look.

When it comes to flooring, Walnut has a rich, chocolate tone which is very warming.
It can be quite classical in its style, however when combined with dark furniture and
modern (brass) lighting elements, it gets versatile enough to fit in a more modern context.

The variation in colour tone throughout the wood give it a more interesting twist than
standard plain wood flooring.

BOEN recommends:

BOEN has a variety of walnut floors available to choose from such as Walnut Andante and Walnut Animoso.
The Walnut Nature Prestige floor is very classic and elegant when laid in a herringbone pattern.
It is even more vibrant when walnut reveals its entire colour spectrum.
This can be seen particularly clearly in the Walnut Baltic Prestige
The Live Pure Walnut plank creates an unusual but natural and subtle look.
